POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Contract Manager (ACM) serves as the primary advisor to the contract manager (CM) and internal operations manager for a security contract in the State of Massachusetts. Authority is delegated to the ACM from the CM to execute and meet service performance measures and standards identified in the contract for Triple Canopy (A Constellis company) to meet the contract objectives. In addition to providing contract administration and ensuring compliance with all requirements of the Agreement, the Assistant Contract Manager assists in overseeing and managing all security and security command center operations and performs all relevant duties as assigned by the Contract Manager. The ACM uses sound judgment to prioritize and complete assignments, some of which consist of numerous complex steps varying in nature and sequence. The Assistant Contract Manager shall wear appropriate business casual attire, perform the following tasks, and have the following qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report directly to their Project Manager
- Ensure Constellis personnel perform all duties and requirements of the Agreement, ensuring quality of services and supplies, timeliness of all deliverables, controlling costs, compliance with all government reporting requirements, quality control and management of key Constellis personnel
- Make decisions on behalf of Constellis , particularly with respect to personnel-related issues
- Supervise all Constellis personnel providing the Services
- Be available on a 24-hour basis to ensure prompt response in the event of an emergency or exigent circumstance
- Conduct prompt and thorough internal investigations of reported complaints or concerns
- Ensure all equipment and property is tracked, accounted for, and otherwise safeguarded
- Share overall responsibility for implementing, monitoring, and upgrading the program quality control plan, including responsibility for ensuring that Constellis personnel complies with all program requirements under the Agreement
- Serve as an additional focal point for Clients for all program activities and be responsible for overall quality and standards conformance in accordance with the SOW
- Plan projects, meet objectives, develop contingencies, and manage resources within the project budget
- Ensure scheduling is sufficient to meet contract requirements
- Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a minimum of 3 years managing security guard personnel on a contract of similar size and complexity AND either 4 years of law enforcement OR 4 years of honorable military experience
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree or substantial and verifiable law enforcement, military or business management experience
- Verifiable experience and training in security awareness, mediation and conflict resolution, disaster and emergency situations, and managing personnel at various types of facilities
- Be fully computer literate with computer hardware and software used to perform the Services
- Be a U.S. Citizen with a social security card and a valid driver's license.
- Must meet all medical and physical standards and satisfactorily complete background checks, psychological and drug screening
- Possess outstanding written and oral communication skills in the English language
- May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
