The Role:
Blackstone is seeking a Senior Vice President level Producer to lead new video series development and production from concept through delivery. This individual will particpate in the creation of a new high-quality content series, helping drive its editorial direction, voice, format while overseeing every stage of production from pre-production through recording, post-production, and distribution. The role requires an indivdiual who combines strong editorial judgment with world-class production expertise to deliver a compelling final product that reflects Blackstone’s brand, engages its target audience, and meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and impact. In addition, the SVP will oversee related video execution, direct single-camera and multi-camera shoots, prepare senior executives for on-camera success, and help expand the firm’s broader studio programming and production capabilities over time.
Responsibilities:
Lead in the development, launch, and ongoing production of a new content series, establishing its editorial vision, production approach, and workflow.
Serve as the lead producer and showrunner, shaping the direction, voice, structure as it evolves.
Drive editorial decision-making across episodes, including topic selection, framing, guest strategy, segment development, points of entry for the audience, and creative twists that make the show differentiated and compelling.
Build episodes from concept through delivery, overseeing development, pre-production, recording, post-production, and final distribution across audio and video formats.
Apply strong judgment and relevant financial services knowledge to develop content that is credible, timely, and aligned with the interests of the audiences Blackstone serves.
Bring a clear understanding of target audience needs and behaviors, ensuring each episode is accessible, engaging, and designed to resonate with key stakeholder groups.
Lead guest management across the full lifecycle, including identifying and evaluating prospective guests, shaping the guest pipeline, coordinating outreach and logistics, and preparing guests and senior executives for successful recorded performances.
Define and manage the staffing, technical requirements, and operating model needed to stand up and sustain a high-quality serialized production.
Oversee audio production and related video execution across multiple formats, from studio-based recordings to single-camera and multi-camera shoots, ensuring excellence in sound, visual presentation, and overall production value.
Lead pre-production planning, including rundowns, scripts, technical requirements, set and furniture design, and creative assets for studio and display systems.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers to align production requirements with timelines, resources, and broader project goals.
Work closely with social and distribution teams to extend the reach of podcast content, adapting episodes and highlights for social platforms and supporting promotional strategy across channels.
Qualifications:
15 + years of professional Producer experience
Proven podcast showrunner and lead producer with deep experience setting editorial vision, owning creative direction, and leading end‑to‑end production across serialized audio and video content.
Strong editorial and audience judgment, driving differentiated episode concepts, guest strategy, narrative framing, and creative formats that resonate with senior, sophisticated audiences, including within financial services.
Expert in full‑cycle production operations, overseeing pre‑production, recording, post‑production, staffing, technical execution, and studio/video production to deliver consistently high production value.
Highly collaborative leader experienced partnering with executives, project managers, and distribution teams to prepare talent, manage logistics, and extend content reach through social and multi‑channel promotion.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple high-profile projects under tight deadlines.
Deep proficiency in professional video equipment, studio lighting design, audio systems, and control-room workflows.
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.

Expected annual base salary range:
$170,000 - $250,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
