What's the role?
Medium Rare is seeking a Trade Marketing Director to lead how our work shows up in market and to drive trade marketing activity that supports commercial growth across Medium Rare and our sister content agencies, Visual Domain and Storyation.
This is a senior role reporting directly to the Managing Director, Nick Smith. While the role sits within Medium Rare, it has a clear mandate to operate across the group, ensuring our collective work is positioned consistently, credibly and effectively with senior marketers.
This is a director-level role and a senior individual contributor. It is suited to an experienced trade marketer with strong commercial judgement and a deep understanding of B2B marketing, lead generation and performance-driven environments.
What this role is about
This role exists to strengthen how Medium Rare and the wider group are positioned in market and to support sustainable commercial growth.
You will lead trade marketing strategy and execution across the agencies, using our best work, thinking and insights to build credibility, relevance and inbound opportunity. A core focus of the role is B2B digital marketing and lead generation, ensuring trade marketing activity directly supports sales and pipeline outcomes.
You will not be responsible for direct selling or credentialing. Instead, you will enable commercial conversations through disciplined strategy, high-quality execution and a consistent market presence.
What you will do
Lead the development and execution of trade marketing strategy across Medium Rare, Visual Domain and Storyation
Deliver integrated trade marketing campaigns that increase awareness, relevance and inbound interest
Lead B2B digital marketing and performance-driven campaigns across channels including Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta and EDMs
Drive qualified lead generation in support of a sales and performance-driven environment
Partner with internal teams and external specialists to plan, execute and optimise campaigns
Oversee the development of case studies, sales tools and market-facing narratives
Lead awards strategy and oversee submissions aligned to commercial priorities
Develop thought leadership and points of view that strengthen market positioning
Plan and deliver events, partnerships and industry activity focused on senior marketers
Optimise digital marketing investment to ensure effectiveness and return on spend
Work closely with teams across the group to align messaging and amplify strong work
Who are you?
You are a senior trade marketer with strong commercial instincts and demonstrated experience in B2B marketing.
You understand how agencies grow and how senior marketers evaluate partners. You bring hands-on experience in digital marketing, lead generation and performance-driven campaigns, and are comfortable operating in sales-aligned environments.
You operate confidently at leadership level, influence effectively across teams and bring a clear focus on outcomes, not activity. You combine strategic thinking with disciplined execution and sound judgement.
