The Sr Contracts Specialist – DACH is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of pricing, contracting, and Contract‑to‑Cash (C2C) operations across the DACH region. The role acts as the central operational owner and subject matter expert for pricing setup, contract administration, and payer master data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process consistency.
Serving as the primary point of contact for internal pricing- and contract‑related matters, the Sr Contract Specialist works closely with Market Access, Customer Care, Finance, Accounting, and FP&A to address local account challenges, support payer‑based reimbursement pathways, and enable efficient commercial execution.
The role also contributes to process improvement initiatives within the C2C landscape and supports the Sr. Commercial Manager DACH on selected strategic and operational topics.
Responsibilities
Own and manage all pricing setup activities, including sales deal creation, price list creation, and ongoing maintenance.
Act as the first point of contact for internal pricing, deal, and contractual questions.
Interpret and manage contractual terms, pricing conditions, and rebate structures in alignment with internal policies and payer requirements.
Own and maintain the regional contract database in close collaboration with the Market Access team.
Ensure accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of payer master data, including onboarding of new payers.
Ensure data quality, compliance, and usability of pricing and contract information for downstream processes and reporting.
Partner with Market Access, Customer Care, and Finance to address local purchasing pathways, account challenges, and operational issues.
Support resolution of payer non‑payments, claims, and escalations in collaboration with Customer Care and Finance.
Work with Accounting and FP&A to ensure transparency and alignment on new pricing models and contractual arrangements.
Support and help implement improvements to Contract‑to‑Cash processes and related systems.
Contribute to broader commercial and operational initiatives in support of the Sr. Commercial Manager DACH.
Key Decision Rights
Ownership of all pricing setup, sales deal configuration, and price list maintenance for the DACH region.
Ownership and governance of the contract database and payer master data.
Authority to define and enforce pricing and contracting process standards within the region.
Required Skills and Competencies
Solid understanding of pricing, contracting, and commercial operations, ideally in a payer‑driven or regulated environment.

Strong systems affinity; experience with CRM/ERP and contract or pricing systems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or similar) or similar working experience in a similar role.
Relevant experience in a commercial operations, contracting, pricing, or commercial support role, ideally within the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
Hands‑on Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Contract‑to‑Cash processes is strongly preferred.
Experience working in cross‑functional, international environments (e.g. Sales, Market Access, Customer Care, Finance).
Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and SAP.
Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel).
Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel up to 15%.
