We are recruiting for an Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team at Blatchington Manor our specialist dementia residential home in Seaford. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that on a day-to-day basis the social and welfare needs of the residents are met. You will be responsible for implementing comprehensive and meaningful activity that reflects the needs, capabilities, interests and skills of the residents in your care Hours: 36 hrs per week - 8am - 8pm - will include alternate weekends. Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Week 2: Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday Job responsibilities • To help create a varied, stimulating and meaningful activity programme to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the home. Ensure that daily and weekly activities/ events are clearly displayed. • To organise and co-ordinate one to one and group activities for residents, bespoke to their individual interests and choices. • To help plan and organise an activities programme that progresses over time. Essential Skills • Passionate about offering superior services and want to make a difference • Kind and caring with a positive approach • Energetic and hard-working; • Team player • Experience of coordinating, organising • To be able to communicate effectively both verbal and written The ideal candidate for this role would have previous experience in a care position or creativity role within a similar environment.
