Manages the inventory of all par carts and par locations throughout the hospital utilizing hand- held technology, and works with the managers of each department to keep the par cart/location inventory at the lowest possible quantity.
Inventories and restocks par carts/locations on a daily basis utilizing hand-held technology. Adjusts par levels as needed, and keeps inventory orderly.
Conducts daily cycle counts.
Assists with training for other departments in inventory control by utilizing hand-held terminals.
Assists with inventory counts in other inventory locations, when needed.
Demonstrates knowledge of restocking storeroom/annex supplies, backdating, event-related supplies and ordering supplies from the Storeroom and outside vendors.
Utilizes idle time productively to perform cleaning duties and to help in other areas of Materials Management.
Prepares monthly par cart reports.
Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Specifications:
Education: High School Graduate
Experience: Knowledge of software applications, and proficient with hand-held terminals. Knowledge of medical supplies and medical terminology, and accuracy in cycle counts.
