KalSoft is currently looking for an experienced Odoo Technical & Functional Specialist to join our team in Oman. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Odoo implementation, customization, migration, and support. The role requires both technical expertise (Python, Odoo framework, PostgreSQL) and functional understanding of core business modules including Finance, Sales, Inventory, and HR.
The candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end Odoo support, development, upgrades, integrations, and ensuring system stability while also supporting business users in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
A. Functional Support (Business Side)
- Support daily users across Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, HR, etc.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into Odoo solutions
- Train end users and prepare user manuals/guides
- Manage user issues through ticketing system
- Support finance operations including accounting, reconciliation, and reporting
B. Technical Support & Development
- Troubleshoot and fix system issues (frontend & backend)
- Customize existing Odoo modules as per business needs
- Develop new modules and features when required
- Handle system integrations (APIs, banking systems, third-party platforms)
- Ensure system performance, stability, and optimization
- Manage deployments and server-related activities
C. Odoo Upgrade & Project Participation
- Support Odoo version upgrades (e.g., v14 to higher versions)
- Perform gap analysis between current and target versions
- Assist in data migration, testing, and validation
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
D. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare functional and technical documentation
- Maintain weekly progress reports (tasks, issues, status)
- Ensure all documentation is up to date and standardized
E. Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in business processes
- Suggest and implement process improvements
- Optimize workflows across Sales, Procurement, and Inventory
- Ensure adherence to Odoo best practices
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in Odoo implementation, migration, and finance module configuration
- Strong experience with Odoo (v14 or above preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, and Odoo framework
- Functional expertise in Finance, Inventory, and Sales modules
- Experience in Odoo customization and system integration
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good understanding of system performance and stability management
- Experience with API integrations and third-party systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
