

The Research Data Analyst will work closely with senior staff to generate both statistical and graphical analysis of research data. This individual must understand clinical research as well as biostatistical and epidemiological methods and be able, with guidance, to choose the appropriate methods and analysis to address the needs of the research questions. S/he must be knowledgeable about the assumptions underlying each analytic method and must be able to provide an interpretation of the results.
The Family Lifestyle Program seeks a part-time (~50%), benefits-eligible, fully remote Research Associate to support outcomes and lived-experience research for the FLiPRx program. This work advances evidence that produce prescriptions and other Food Is Medicine interventions are essential healthcare services. The ideal candidate has experience with food insecurity, diet quality, and medical claims data, and is skilled in quantitative and qualitative methods, survey tools, and data analysis. Experience with community-centered research, translating findings for varied audiences, and manuscript and presentation development is strongly preferred.
Children’s National’s Family Lifestyle Produce Prescription intervention (FLiPRx) aims to address food insecurity and diet-related chronic disease among families with children living in the Washington, D.C.-region. The FLiPRx program reduces health disparities by reducing barriers to eating healthy, high-quality food, and providing education around nutrition, culinary skills, and stress management. We are seeking a program coordinator to help with the delivery and evaluation of this produce prescription program.

Minimum Work Experience
At least 3 years of progressive experience with statistical programming and analysis as well as demonstrated knowledge and experience with data management. .
Required Skills/Knowledge
In depth knowledge and experience with at least one of the following statistical packages: SAS, SPSS, STATA.
An ideal research associate will have background in the field of nutrition, health equity, community-based programs, and chronic disease prevention, as well as espouse the below qualities:
highly skilled in quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques
Previous experience with survey data collection, management, and analysis tools
familiar with qualitative interview data collection and thematic analysis is a plus
commitment to a positive community-centered research approach
commitment to active problem-solving with timely follow-up and closed loop team communication
experience with translating data for the lay, clinical, and research audiences
experienced in manuscript development and submission, as well as research-related presentations
The Research Associate will be responsible for:
tracking data collection and conducting quality control measures
statistical analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
reporting analytical findings and willingness to iterate analysis as needed
contributing to regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders
collaborating and executing research projects aligned with the strategic priorities of fliprx
communicating with the pis, research assistants, program participants, and external partners throughout the research process
