Your new role
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will:
- Partner with leaders across QBE Pacific—bringing commercial insight, challenge and clarity.
- Support planning and performance across the cost base, translate data into decisions, and help the business stay focused on what drives profitable outcomes.
- Support the delivery of the planning and reforecast cycle & identify opportunities and drive practical cost and value initiatives
- Support operational efficiency work that strengthens financial discipline and lifts commercial awareness across the division.
- Assist with pulling together and landing the budget—ensuring leaders understand the why, the trade-offs and the outcomes.
- Deliver monthly performance insights and clear commentary on expenses—spot trends early and call out risks/opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with leadership—be the go-to adviser for commercial questions; financial trade-offs through fit-for-purpose reporting and analysis
About you
- Management accounting experience in a business-facing partnering role.
- Comfort working across a full P&L, with an understanding of profitability drivers and key metrics.
- Comfortable with ambiguity—curious, commercially minded, and willing to challenge the status quo.
- An excellent communicator who can simplify complexity, build trust and influence senior stakeholders.
- Insurance experience is highly regarded (or strong exposure to a similarly complex, regulated environment).
- Nice to have: French language capability.
