CHEP helps move more goods to more people, in more places than any other organization on earth via our 347 million pallets, crates and containers. We employ approximately 13,000 people and operate in 60 countries. Through our pioneering and sustainable share-and-reuse business model, the world’s biggest brands trust us to help them transport their goods more efficiently, safely and with less environmental impact.
What does that mean for you? You’ll join an international organization big enough to take you anywhere, and small enough to get you there sooner. You’ll help change how goods get to market and contribute to global sustainability. You’ll be empowered to bring your authentic self to work and be surrounded by diverse and driven professionals. And you can maximize your work-life balance and flexibility through our Hybrid Work Model.
Work flexibly within a purpose‑driven, global organisation
What will be required:
Own end‑to‑end national demand and supply planning across all CHEP Australia platforms and 65 supply points, maintaining a strong hands‑on understanding of constraints, trade‑offs and network dynamics.
Lead planning horizons out 18–24 months within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle, translating detailed analysis into clear, executive‑level recommendations.
Balance technical planning rigour with strategic judgement, personally guiding critical scenarios, assumptions and modelling where decisions materially impact service, cost or capital.
Influence and partner with senior stakeholders to align priorities, resolve trade‑offs and support informed enterprise decision‑making.
Drive network optimisation, capacity planning and cost‑out initiatives, balancing immediate operational needs with long‑term value creation.
Lead digitisation and continuous improvement across planning systems (SAP & JDA), ensuring tools enhance planning quality rather than replace planning judgement.
Coach and develop planners to build both technical depth and strategic thinking capability, lifting the team’s impact across the organisation.
What Will Make You Successful
Strong hands‑on experience in demand and/or supply planning, with the confidence to interrogate data, challenge assumptions and guide complex decisions.
The ability to operate seamlessly between detailed analysis and senior executive influence, adapting communication to suit technical and leadership audiences.
Proven experience balancing short‑term operational pressures with long‑term strategic planning.
High analytical intelligence and strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect planning insights to business outcomes.
Experience influencing outcomes in complex, fast‑paced and ambiguous environments.
Exposure to IBP frameworks, SAP and/or JDA planning systems preferred.
A leadership style grounded in technical credibility, clear judgement and executive presence.
