Assistant/Deputy Director, Regional Development (Contract)

[What the role is]

In this position, you will be involved both in the development of Singapore’s Chairmanship priorities and initiatives under the Finance Track, as well as in managing the logistical and administrative preparations to ensure that the meetings held in Singapore throughout the year run smoothly

[What you will be working on]

You will be part of the core team that organises and runs the ASEAN and ASEAN+3 Finance Track meetings during Singapore’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027. You will be involved both in the development of Singapore’s Chairmanship priorities and initiatives under the Finance Track, as well as in managing the logistical and administrative preparations to ensure that the meetings held in Singapore throughout the year run smoothly. You will also have the opportunity to manage bilateral accounts with our key regional counterparts and actively contribute towards bilateral and regional development initiatives.

[What we are looking for]

• Relevant experience in international relations work, including in terms of logistical and organisational arrangements, will be an advantage.

• Team player with good networking skills, superior organisational skills and multi-tasking ability.

• Strong analytical competence with the capacity to coordinate effectively across multiple teams and agencies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Applicants must be Singapore citizens.

This is a 1-year contract position with an option to extend for another year. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
