This position is hybrid (in person and remote) in Austin, Texas at the University of Texas High School. The position begins August 1, 2026 and is a 12-month State of Texas employment position. The University of Texas High School is a public Special Purpose School District and follows all state and federal regulations for public school and special education services. The University of Texas High School is a part of the University of Texas at Austin’s College of Education. UTHS provides flexible learning options for high school students and adult learners.
Master's degree in School Psychology and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology LSSP certification OR Master’s degree in Teaching, Special Education, Educational Administration or other related field. Knowledge of state and Federal Special Education law. Knowledge of the ARD process. Knowledge of disabilities and the impact on children. Skilled in developing effective and compliant IEPs. Skilled in assisting and counseling students with disabilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in working effectively under timelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Skilled in maintaining accurate and compliant student records. Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationships. Skilled in Microsoft Office, including MS Excel, and web applications. Knowledge of state testing requirements and procedures, STARR.
Licensed Specialist in School Psychology LSSP certification or intern certification. Educational Diagnostician Certification. Experience as a special education teacher. Experience with Frontline.
$73,000 + depending on qualifications
