About the role
The Apprentice – Mechanical Technician will complete a structured four-year apprenticeship program at Ernest Henry, leading to a nationally recognised trade qualification in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitting & Machining).
This role supports the Mill Maintenance team, assisting with the safe and reliable operation of the processing plant. You will gain hands-on experience working on surface fixed plant and rotating equipment, learning from experienced tradespeople across a range of maintenance activities.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will build your skills across installations, preventative maintenance, and breakdown work while progressively increasing your responsibility as you develop.
