ROLE We are seeking a Personnel Security Assistant to support the II Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion (II MSB) Security Management Office (SMO) at Camp Lejeune, NC. In this role, you will support the Security Management Office by helping maintain accurate security records, coordinate personnel access requirements, and complete administrative tasks that support Marine Corps security operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the II Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion Security Management Office
Help verify personnel clearance eligibility for access to classified information and spaces
Coordinate with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Consolidated Adjudication Services
Process Security Termination Statements for personnel who separate, retire, or no longer require access
Ensure personnel complete Standard Form 312 before being granted classified access
Upload security documents into Defense Information System for Security and Operational Records Management Application
Brief personnel on Standard Form 312 responsibilities and classified information handling requirements
Support classified access processing for personnel assigned to sensitive duties
Help ensure personnel are enrolled in the continuous evaluation program
Support temporary access authorization processing in accordance with current guidance
Coordinate with higher headquarters security personnel for classified space badge issuance
Identify visiting personnel and issue access control badges based on verified clearance status
Maintain proper safeguards for security records storage, archiving, and destruction
Prepare correspondence, reports, charts, tables, and other documents using Microsoft Office
Operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, shredders, copiers, and fax machines
Coordinate with physical security, antiterrorism, insider threat, cybersecurity, communication security, operations security, and classified material control personnel
Perform related security and administrative support duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Strong attention to detail and work ethic required
Strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills required
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion required
Ability to prepare accurate, well-formatted documents and records required
Ability to coordinate professionally with military, civilian, and contractor personnel required
EXPERIENCE
At least 1 year of prior military administrative experience required
Personnel security, information security, or security administrative support experience preferred
Experience in a Marine Corps, Navy, Department of Defense, security office, or intelligence environment preferred
Experience with Defense Information System for Security preferred
Experience supporting classified access, clearance documentation, or security records preferred
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required
A four-year undergraduate degree preferred
