Join a fast-paced restoration team where your leadership, project management, and emergency response expertise make a direct impact. We are seeking an experienced Water/Fire/Mold Mitigation Project Manager to oversee restoration and emergency stabilization projects from initial response through completion.
This role combines field operations, estimating, customer communication, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and experienced in insurance-related restoration work.
Position Overview
The Mitigation Project Manager is responsible for managing water/fire/mold mitigation and emergency service projects, including estimating, technician supervision, scheduling, budgeting, and customer relations. This is an on-call position that requires both field and office work to support customers in urgent restoration situations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Respond to mitigation and emergency service calls, including urgent service issues
Coordinate rapid response for new projects and incoming losses
Scope and assess new projects for estimating purposes
Manage water/fire/mold restoration projects from start to finish
Prepare estimates using Xactimate, Symbility, or similar estimating platforms
Track project milestones, dates, and documentation through internal and external systems
Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters, property owners, and other decision-makers
Negotiate estimates with insurance carriers, TPAs, and third-party reviewers
Oversee project budgeting, invoicing, and collections
Manage subcontractors and review/approve invoices
Ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards
Supervisory Responsibilities
Hire, train, and mentor Mitigation & Emergency Service Technicians
Supervise field technicians and daily operations
Promote accountability, safety, and quality workmanship
Assist with scheduling and workforce coordination
Qualifications & Skills
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience in water mitigation, restoration, or emergency services management
Knowledge of insurance restoration processes and estimating software
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
IICRC certifications are a plus

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma
3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Possess the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of the organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
REASONING ABILITY:
Possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee must be able to carry a minimum weight of 50 pounds for the purpose of getting material to a specific place on the project site.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
