The Opportunity: We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse Team Lead to join our Lifestyle Options - Whitemud team on a temporary full-time basis. This position is expected to conclude on February 15, 2027. In this role, you will provide personalized nursing care in your assigned area, supporting both independent and team-based functions under the Director of Care.
What you’ll do:
Lead and supervise the nursing department, ensuring quality care and team coordination.
Implement and uphold company policies in collaboration with the Director of Care.
Oversee client service plans, staff assignments, and delegated nursing tasks.
Support client transitions, including move-ins and move-outs for DSL, Home Care, and independent living.
Communicate effectively with families, healthcare providers, and external agencies.
Maintain inventory and supplies, including placing orders as needed.
Qualifications:
Active registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
Current CPR, First Aid and BLS certification (required).
Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience in seniors assisted living (preferred).
Supervisory experience and strong leadership skills are considered assets.
Demonstrates person-centered care and respects resident and family input.
Excels in time management, multitasking, and independent decision-making.
Communicates effectively with strong interpersonal and English language skills.
