Full-Stack Software Engineer
The Workplace Investing (WI) Platform technology group is seeking a highly motivated and curious full-stack Engineer who is passionate about the application of Emerging Technologies in Financial Services! Come join the collaborative team of Engineers tasked to develop and maintain technology solutions supporting Fidelity's Defined Contribution (DC) business. The platform serves plan sponsors in the configuration of their DC plans and operates in a mixed-technology environment (Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle) across multiple tiers (web server, app server, DB).
The Role
A hands-on Developer required to have shown an understanding of Java core, Spring and Web Services development using Angular and REST (for example). Associate is expected to have exposure to the Product development life cycle, as well as standard methodologies. Associate will be involved in the design / development process and providing on-call production support on rotation basis.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field
Software development experience on business critical, enterprise-wide applications
Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-volume transactional systems.
Actively participates in formal reviews of architecture, design, and code.
Publishes clear, concise, and detailed design documentation.
Provides support for software releases into production environments.
Developing skills in Java using Spring Boot Framework
Experience in Server-Side Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, and Tomcat and in Client-Side technologies such as HTML5, Angular Framework, JavaScript, CSS and JSON including Adaptable WEB Design.
Experience developing software utilizing relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server)
Experience with Source Control Systems such as GIT
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
Ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements.
Ability to develop technical artifacts based on analysis of business and systems requirements.
Strong organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills.

The DC organization is looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to be part of its multifaceted, globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of Fidelity's DC plan administration platform.
