Job Summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Internal Communications Strategist II/III to join our Executive & Internal Communications team and support our internal communications and employee engagement efforts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering employee communications and engagement deliverables, as well as partnering with our Enterprise Services leaders on their change transformation initiatives. You will manage multiple communications deliverables at different stages of the planning process, while providing an exemplary attention to detail and outstanding customer service.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our campus facility, located either at our Corporate Headquarters in Chantilly, VA, or at our Technology Campus in El Segundo, CA.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serve as a key communications partner to our Enterprise Service leaders, working to communicate their key priorities to a variety of audiences
• Align strategy and integrate efforts of the One Aerospace Site Council, fostering employee collaboration and engagement across all Aerospace sites
• Leverage different channels to engage employees across nationwide locations
• Develop and execute communications initiatives, with a special emphasis on supporting transformation efforts within our OCFO and OCIO organizations
• Partner across our Corporate Communications creative teams (i.e. graphics, video) to create compelling communications deliverables

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Internal Communications Staff II:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English or other related field
• Three or more years of relevant internal communications, corporate communications and/or employee engagement experience
• Outstanding writing and editing expertise, with a proven ability to tailor communications for executives, managers, or employees
• Meticulous organizational skills paired with attention to detail, ensuring seamless project execution and operational excellence
• Exceptional interpersonal acumen that fosters effective collaboration across internal and external teams with complex organizational structures

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Internal Communications Staff III:

• Five or more years of relevant internal communications, corporate communications and/or employee engagement experience

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

• Proven leadership in change management communications, adept at steering organizational transformations and managing crisis narratives with clarity and precision
• Familiarity with SharePoint and WordPress, or similar content management platform
• Proficiency with PoliteMail or other internal email metrics services
• Knowledge within the aerospace and defense sector is strongly desired

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$670,000.00 - $126,900.00
