Job Responsibilities
Platform Scope & Environment
This role operates within a modern omni-channel engagement platform that includes:
Salesforce Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Field Service
Health Cloud capabilities including patient data models, care plans, and program enrollment workflows
Amazon Connect (Salesforce Voice), AWS Lambda, and Amazon Lex
AI capabilities including Salesforce Einstein and interaction analytics platforms
Customer feedback and Voice of Customer platforms (e.g., Hive CFM)
Workforce management platforms (e.g., Playvox)
Integration with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake)
The platform supports voice, SMS, email, and video interactions, and integrates real-time and batch data flows across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Strategy & Governance
Own end-to-end architecture across Salesforce and engagement platform domains
Define and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, and reference architectures
Establish governance processes including architecture reviews and design authority
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards
Multi-Cloud & Integration Architecture
Design and govern integration patterns across Salesforce, AWS, Azure, and SaaS platforms
Define API-led and event-driven architectures for real-time and asynchronous processing
Ensure scalability, resiliency, and observability of integrations
Oversee orchestration of omni-channel engagement flows across Salesforce, telephony, and external platforms
Solution Design & Delivery
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable architecture solutions
Provide architectural leadership across the full delivery lifecycle
Guide decisions on configuration vs customization vs externalization
Ensure optimal use of platform capabilities while minimizing technical debt
Data & AI Governance
Define and enforce data architecture, data lifecycle, and governance practices
Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
Govern AI-enabled capabilities, ensuring auditability, transparency, and proper data usage
Establish standards for data protection, masking, and access control
Platform Standardization & Optimization
Drive reuse of capabilities across programs and reduce duplication
Establish common integration patterns and shared services
Improve delivery predictability, scalability, and long-term maintainability
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the technical authority across multiple programs and delivery teams
Partner with engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders
Mentor architects, developers, and platform engineers
Influence technical and business decision-making at all levels
Risk, Security & Compliance
Identify architectural risks, trade-offs, and constraints early in the lifecycle
Ensure secure design across platforms, including API security and identity management
Align solutions with enterprise security standards (RBAC, SSO, encryption, auditability)
Support compliance in regulated healthcare and life sciences environments
Required Qualifications
8–12+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture and enterprise platform design
Deep expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud and Health Cloud, including patient data models and care program architecture
Proven experience designing enterprise-scale, multi-system solutions
Strong experience with:
API-led and event-driven integration architectures
Multi-cloud environments (Salesforce, AWS, Azure)
Data modeling, governance, and security
Strong understanding of security models (OAuth, RBAC, SSO, encryption)
Ability to translate business strategy into scalable technical architecture
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Amazon Connect or similar contact center platforms
Familiarity with AI-enabled platforms (Salesforce Einstein, NLP-based analytics)
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD in Salesforce environments
Knowledge of enterprise data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake)
Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, pharma, or similar)
Experience supporting omni-channel or contact center platforms
Salesforce certifications (Application Architect, System Architect; CTA preferred)
