The Role
The Security Officer serves as a safeguard to team members and guests at the DraftKings at Casino Queen. The Officer is to be responsive to the needs of the guests and team members in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Always remain alert for burglaries, prowlers, vandalism, trespassers, removal of casino property without proper authorization, and any additional suspicious activity.
- Assist in transporting money and chips.
- Observe, report and take action as directed by the supervisor or above with respect to all suspicious, unusual situations.
- Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
- Answer all calls promptly and professionally.
- Respond to all disturbances in order to deescalate the incident.
- Must make sound judgment when interacting with Team members and guests.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
- Investigate and prepare written reports on incidents/medicals that occur during the shift in a timely manner.
- Document all incidents and property damage as directed.
- Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere.
- Assist other Security Officers as needed.
- Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
- Other duties as assigned
