In this new position as Senior SW Quality Manager, your core responsibility will be to ensure that software (SW) and firmware (FW) related to LEGO® SMART Play System solutions meet the highest quality standards and align with customer expectations. Acting as the voice of the user from a software quality perspective, you will play a key role in shaping robust and reliable play experiences. More specifically, you will:
Build the quality strategy for SW / FW verification and validation of LEGO® products while securing line-of-sight of product and customer requirements.
Set objectives and targets for quality requirements and performance.
Ensure that the full SW / FW ecosystem is qualified across all elements.
Drive and secure the objective goals for release of firmware and apps.
Defect triaging experience.
Recommend Quality go/no-go decisions.
Connect and supervise project and sponsor leadership teams on trade-off decisions, priorities, capability building, allocation of resources related to quality assurance in development projects.
Report, intensify and mitigate risks and critical project matters related to quality and technical feasibility.
Engage and build Quality Assurance capabilities with colleagues across Product Development, Engineering and Quality teams.
In the “Quality in Development” department, we proactively assure quality in LEGO® play experiences and ensure technical feasibility, by amplifying the voice of the consumer in development of products and technologies.
In this department, you will join the “Preventive Quality Management (PQM) Mechatronics” team consisting of eight highly-skilled professionals based in Billund, Denmark. This highly collaborative and interdisciplinary quality driver team leads QA and risk mitigation in technology development programs and related projects to assure a high quality play and learning experience across LEGO products. Here you will be the SW / FW quality expert supporting other team members as well. They support development teams across business, creative and technical disciplines in developing a proactive quality mindset based on play and learning requirements and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of proven experience within Software Test Management, Software Engineering, Embedded SW / FW Development in cross-functional work environments, preferably from larger global companies.You bring a strong end-to-end supply chain understanding driven from a quality angle. Furthermore, you have:
Proven experience with Software Test and Engineering, preferably holding ISTQB test management certification.
Experience with JIRA, JAMA or similar tools.
Knowledge in cybersecurity areas.
Project management skills.
Solid experience from interdisciplinary development activities in the industry will be a huge advantage.
Ability to engage with both deep tech specialists and business leader levels, translating technical topics to quality approaches and business decisions.
Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
Strong communication skills being proficient in English written and verbal.
Great collaboration, facilitation and engaging people skills.
Structured, systematic and self-driven work approach.

Passion for Technology in Play and Learning solutions.
Experience from collaboration with external development partners and suppliers.
