We are looking for an IT Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery, installation and ongoing support of business‑critical IT systems and networks that underpin Smiths Detection’s customer solutions across Checkpoint and Hold Baggage environments.
Working as part of the UK Projects Team, you will support IT programmes, tenders, pre‑sales activity, product support and live project delivery.
You’ll work under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads, contributing hands‑on expertise across servers, virtual environments, networks and system integrations deployed at customer sites.
This is a highly practical, customer‑facing role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and a commitment to operational reliability in regulated environments.
This role will largely be focused around Heathrow, however, you will be expected to travel to other airports across UK/IRE as and when required.
We can only accept applications from applicants who have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
