Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Consumer Lending Loan Coordinator, who will provide general assistance and departmental support while providing superior Member service.
Key Responsibilities
Member Service:
o Provide exceptional service to all Members, officials, internal team members, and service providers.
o Provide general assistance and departmental support in completing tasks or projects.
o Provide phone coverage for the department at all times.
o Communicate with Members regarding their loan status and request documentation needed to close the loan.
o Compose and type letters, memos, and reports for staff and Members.
o Ensure problem ownership to protect the Member experience by researching and resolving Member concerns, complaints, and questions. Respond with thorough, and accurate information through oral and/or written communication, or by directing them to the appropriate department or person for assistance.
o Deliver excellent Member service by implementing RCU policy and departmental procedures and following the RCU service philosophy and standards.
Lending Support:
o Assist Direct lending with loan queues and funding when needed.
o Assist Indirect lending with loan packages and funding when needed.
o Manage the loan completion process with Member from approval to funding.
o Maintain tracking records in Symitar and file Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filing on specific loan types.
o Follow up with Members, dealers, or vendors for any documentation needed for funding.
o Assist funders to ensure loan files are complete prior to internal and/or external audit requests.
o Ensure confidentiality and safeguard sensitive Member financial information.
o Evaluate pipeline to ensure loan files are closed within set RCU standards and that production goals are met.
o Identify cross sell opportunities that will benefit Member.
o Report daily any problems or concerns with specific loan files.
o Propose new or improved processes that will improve current processing structure.
o Review and complete daily lending reports.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge in the use of Internet-based loan origination software.
- Knowledge of lending principles, practices, rules, regulations, and sales.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people including vendors and other Credit Union team members.
- Ability to act independently and confidentially, using discretion and tact.
- Ability to analyze situations and recommend workable solutions.
- Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work.
- Ability and desire to work in and contribute to a team environment.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule which will include working some Saturdays (1 to 2 a month).
Licenses and Certifications
- Position requires the ability to be a registered and designated Credit Endorsee with the California Department of Insurance.
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, Credit Union/Banking industry or closely related field.
Compensation: Base starting range: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity. • Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
