Position Summary:
The Business Analyst, Client Solutions plays a critical role in leading complex initiatives that improve operational effectiveness across Medavie Operations. This role partners with business leaders and cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Finance, Sales, and Marketing) to identify opportunities, define requirements, and deliver data-driven solutions that enhance client experience and operational performance.
The Business Analyst develops strong, ROI-backed business cases and supports the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at improving user experience and driving higher net promoter scores. This role acts as a key liaison across functions, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Solution Delivery
Lead requirements gathering, validation, and documentation for complex initiatives
Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and functional solutions
Support IT intake processes and contribute to solution design and implementation
Ensure alignment between business objectives and delivered solutions
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships across Operations, IT, Finance, Sales, and Marketing
Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and alignment
Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify improvement opportunities
Support data gathering and analysis to inform decision-making and project initiatives
Business Case Development & ROI Analysis
Develop business cases with strong ROI justification in collaboration with Finance
Support prioritization of initiatives based on business value and impact
Drive a client-centric approach to solution design and decision-making
Process Improvement & Influencing
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline operational processes
Influence stakeholders to adopt effective and efficient practices
Promote a strong focus on enhancing client and user experience
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
Testing & Implementation Support
Coordinate and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles
Develop and execute test cases for projects and system releases
Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution
Support training, implementation, and business readiness activities
Required Qualifications:
Education: College diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, or related field preferred.
Work Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, operations, or project environments.
Experience working on cross-functional initiatives and complex projects
Technical Skills
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx)
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, ALM, and low-code/automation platforms is an asset
Knowledge of AI, cloud-based systems, and SaaS solutions
Other Qualifications:
Experience in developing business cases and ROI analysis
Experience in insurance or financial services is an asset
Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies is an asset
Language Skills: Fully bilingual (French/English): English proficiency is required to perform the duties of the role, which include daily collaboration with teams and partners outside Québec who operate primarily in English.
