Key Responsibilities:
This role sits within the front office and will be working in a dynamic and busy trading floor environment. You are responsible for the electronic FX franchise, ensuring the pricing, hedging and execution algorithms are functioning properly to service client franchise on both the principal risk transfer business, along with client execution algos and resting orders products. You will be managing model spreads, risk, liquidity and be the key driver of client algos franchise along with product development by working closely with the global teams across EFX Trading, Quants and Technology.
- Responsible for running the book during the Asia EFX session to ensure optimal settings to achieve the PnL / Yield/Volume targets, as well as winning market share on key focused clients and currencies wallet share.
- Ensure that observations about the EFX pricing, hedging, algo execution performances are fed back to the global EFX team, EFX Quants and Technology to review and improve where relevant to accelerate electronic adoption and market share.
- Ability to code in various programming languages to leverage technology including creation of automated dashboards, reports and KPI metrics to improve the electronic business with adoption of AI tools.
- Be the electronic FX algo champion for the APAC business as well as be part of the dynamic EFX Asia trading team to handle principal business in tandem to deliver impactful results.
- Collaborate closely with Asia eSales and voice sales stakeholders to ensure client strategy and targets are achieved with regards to key rankings, hit ratio, PnL and volume targets. This includes client optimization for both principal and algos/orders business and client engagements with sales to gain intel and feedback.
- Co-ordinate with external vendors and ECNs to ensure we continue the dialogues with regards to increasing market share, clients wallet share and product innovation or market structure developments
- Ensure there is clear communication between sales, tech support, client services, and control partners on new products roll-out, including pushing for client adoption and feedback.
- Be accountable for driving operational and tech issues investigation with relevant support teams pertaining to PnL discrepancies, position breaks, release issues, bugs, client pricing impact, execution behavior, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Quantitative Finance/ Finance/ Mathematics/ Business/ Economics
- Outstanding academic achievement
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience in a fast-paced global markets environments to demonstrate ability to work under pressure
- Familiar with the EFX landscape and evolving market structure, as well as the underlying FX and macro environment especially where it pertains to Emerging Markets FX.
- Adequate quantitative background with an analytical mind
- Understand risk management, process-oriented and disciplined approach to handling issues and escalation.
- Able to excel and perform under pressure, on top of keeping a clear mind and composure when working under high levels of stress, when dealing with demanding clients or internal stakeholders, or a big PnL event
- Self-driven and motivated to push for excellence and deliver the best, challenge status quo to effect change.
- Possess leadership qualities to manage diverse and global teams across various functions , handle major incidences and be able to escalate where necessary
- Good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, as well as strong team player.
- Fast learner to pick up new programming skills, eg. Q/KDB, Python.
