We are hiring for a Class 1 Driver based out of our Edmonton Plant. The role is responsible safely operating company vehicles while following instructions or scheduled routes from the Fleet Dispatcher and Fleet Management Team. The role requires the delivery of exceptional customer service when servicing used cooking oil customers. Often viewed as the face of the company, drivers are expected to act professionally both on the road and at locations of service when dealing with customers and the public.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive scheduled routes based on instructions from the Fleet Dispatcher and/or Fleet Management Team to collect used cooking oil material at customer’s locations • As per Receiving and Processing Used Cooking Oils standard operating procedures, pick up used cooking oil from bins, barrels, Frontline, Molok and other customer bulk cooking oil tanks • Empty grease trucks as required • Maintain cleanliness of company trucks, trailers, tools and equipment (hoses, grease tools, wands, extensions, etc.), and spill response kits as directed • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections • Ensure site is clean prior to and after departure when collecting used cooking oil • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently • Follow safety protocols and other procedures as dictated by WCRL or the customer’s requirements • Perform shift work based on company business needs which evolve and change in response to customer demands • Work overtime as instructed to ensure minimal downtime of facilities as per Collective Bargaining Agreement • Foster a positive team and company culture by ensuring treatment of others is respectful and aligned with company values
QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Possession of a valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence with a clean abstract • Knowledge and/or experience with vacuum truck pumps an asset • 3 years of experience in commercial truck driving or similar environment an asset • Strong knowledge of the Central and Northern Alberta area • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills • Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment such as grease trap lids, up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance • Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily • Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, odours and animal by-products
