

Plan and perform masonry work and various maintenance and/or repairs to
Division and customer properties and facilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plan,
layout and perform masonry and minor carpentry work such as concrete block/
brick laying, frame and pour concrete slabs, repair cracks and spackling, wood
framing for new walls, modular sheet rock and/or stud wall, trim work, wood floor
repairs and repair chain link and wood fences. Repair and/or replace metal and
wood doors due to damage and door thresholds. Complete door installation
repairs and ceramic tile installation. Installs cubicles and repair carpet. Move
and arrange office furniture and hang TVs as needed. Connect and disconnect
computers as needed and complete minor sheet metal work. Order parts,
supplies and estimate material costs. Cut openings for rebuilt doors and
windows; install new and/or repair ceiling grid and ceiling tiles at the Division.
Repair or replace windowpanes and perform minor repairs to window casings.
Replace and/or repair brick, block and fencing damage to customer's property
caused by the Division. Set up tents and activity booths for various Division
community-related functions. Perform emergency and demolition clean up if
needed. Operate Division vehicle, radio and office equipment. Perform other
duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND
CERTIFICATIONS
A driver's license from state of residence is required.
EDUCATION associate's degree in civil construction or related degree or High School
Diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE Two (2) years of masonry/construction experience with associate's degree OR
Six (6) years of masonry/construction experience with a High School Diploma/
GED is required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must have knowledge and skills in masonry and construction. Must successfully
complete Placement/Performance Exercises. Must have knowledge and skills in
masonry and construction. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works inside and
outside under good conditions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Subject to hazards
associated with masonry work, climbing ladders, scaffoldings/buildings, bending,
stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, kneeling, reaching, grasping, fingering,
pulling, pushing, and walking/standing for long periods of time. Requires heavy
lifting/carrying up to 100lbs.
