Education & Core Experience
Engineering degree with substantial experience in power engineering, grid connection, High or Medium-voltage systems Deep expertise in utility-scale high/medium voltage (1–100 kV) power systems, with specialization in BESS integration, substation design, switchgear, transformers, and TSO grid connection
Technical Expertise
System Architecture & Design: Electrical design of utility-scale energy storage systems, covering high and medium voltage (1–100 kV) power installations including transformers, switchgear, substation design, and TSO (Transmission System Operator) integration Battery Technology: In-depth knowledge of battery cells, racks, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technologies BESS Project Lifecycle: Demonstrated track record in developing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from design and integration through deployment and commissioning Power Conversion & Grid Integration: Hands-on expertise in Power Conversion System (PCS) technologies for grid-scale energy storage applications Grid Standards: Solid understanding of grid operator technical connection conditions (TABs) and grid connection guidelines (e.g., VDE AR-N 4110/4120)
Regulatory & Compliance
You are familiar with European legal regulations and their national implementation (e.g., CE Conformity)
Soft Skills & Languages
Strong communicator with the ability to present confidently and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; German is a plus Collaborative team player who brings fresh ideas and consistently seeks optimal solutions
