Job Description:
PROCESS:
Receiving:
- Manage receipt of new CHEP pallets issued by CHEP, manage customer empty pallet exchanges. Capture and track all movements.
Issuing:
- Manage issuing of pallets for return to CHEP, manage issuing of pallets to Packing Plant and Boksburg sites
- Implement governance rhythm (daily, weekly, monthly checks), cycle counts, variance resolution.
- Accountable for inventory accuracy and compliance, conducting cycle counts, full stock takes, root cause analysis on variances, and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Ensure stock accuracy (≥ 98–99%).
- Ensure CHEP balance accuracy (≥ 99%).
- Identify shrinkage (≤ 0.5%), then identify process gaps and work with relevant departments to mitigate losses.
- Conduct timely reconciliation and ensure audit readiness.
Minimum qualification: Grade 12
Advantageous qualification: Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistics
Experience: 1 - 3 years’ relevant experience in a related role
