Lead the Yum category management team for direct F&P categories within the region. Lead a regional matrixed team of category leaders to create and implement long term strategies which deliver significant competitive advantage and enable the growth of Yum.
Responsibilities:
•Lead the regional Direct category management team and partner with business stakeholders from regional leadership teams on regional strategic & business requirements & business priorities
•Part of the Global Category Management leadership team, which will define and develop overall Yum procurement strategy & direction
•Build a high performing regional category management team and champion capability building programs for Yum category management
•Support Category Management transformation to strategic supplier partnerships which unlocks value and growth for Yum through demonstrating business case and influencing BMU & Franchisee stakeholders to common approach
•Drive the development & implementation of 5-year Food & Packaging strategy, value creation plan and associated sourcing strategies for the region, in conjunction with the Global category management leadership team
•Develop strategic partnerships with relevant regional external partners, i.e., develop business case for long-term investments
•Oversee key negotiations with strategic category suppliers (involvement upon request/requirement only)
•Identify strategic risks and delegate development of mitigation measures (with focus on core product categories)
•Drive specification harmonization & optimization in collaboration with regional brand teams
•Champion sustainability initiatives within supply chain which reduce environmental impact & support the brands commitment to Good Growth – Ensure long term ESG goals are embedded into category & sourcing strategies
Qualifications:
•10+ years’ experience in Senior supply chain roles, ideally within food industry or related field
•Strong strategic leader with demonstrated ability to lead long term strategic projects
•Strong leadership skills; prepared to challenge status quo and drive change
•Demonstrated ability to manage teams on a multi country scale; inspiring & growing teams
•Excellent communication and partnership skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners across the global business
•Ability to gain buy-in & influence key stakeholders at all levels in a global organization
