This position is contingent upon successful contract submission and award.
Prevailance is seeking a Paramedic to support training of military personnel. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with instructional experience who thrive in physically demanding, austere training environments.
Primary Duties
- Provide medical coverage for jump/parachute and dive operations
- Conduct and support Underwater Egress Training, and Emergency Parachuting and Water Survival Training
- Assess patient complaints and determine the best course of action
- Responsible for providing first aid or life support to sick or injured personnel
- As necessary coordinate transport to higher medical care.
- Responsible for inventorying medical supplies, restocking required items, and submitting purchase requests for missing items as necessary
- Travel – 10%
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Nationally Registered Paramedic with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience
- Possess knowledge of trauma and be qualified to identify dive medical emergencies
- Qualified for Prehospital Trauma Life Support, Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support
- Must have never had paramedic certification suspended or revoked
- Ability to complete annual Skill Level 4 testing on the current United States Departments of the Army and Air Force Joint Prehospital Emergency Care Protocols
- Must have SECRET Security Clearance or be eligible to receive one
- Able to complete a 4-mile ruck, on flat ground, with 25-30 lbs. in under one (1) hour bi-annually.
- First Aid / CPR or Wilderness First Responder certification preferred
- Familiarity with USAF SERE program structure and hierarchy
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
