As part of our continued expansion in Norway, we are now strengthening our national sales organization with a goal-oriented and business-driven Regional Sales Manager who will play a key role in developing BYD’s business through our dealer network across the country.
The Regional Sales Manager acts as the key link between BYD Norway and our dealers within an assigned region. The purpose of the role is to continuously develop the dealers’ business performance in order to achieve sales targets, customer loyalty, and overall quality in execution. The Regional Sales Manager combines strategic and operational responsibilities and ensures that BYD’s commercial strategy and brand standards are effectively implemented at dealer level.
Develop and coach BYD dealers within the assigned region to achieve volume, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets. Negotiate and agree sales targets and KPIs with each dealer, ensuring alignment with BYD’s national plan. Monitor progress and follow up through documented meetings and action plans.
Analyze dealer performance, market potential, and local business opportunities. Propose and implement corrective actions where needed to secure target achievement. Ensure that dealers maintain a healthy stock balance, effective lead management, and compliance with BYD retail processes.
Review and improve local sales processes, offers, and marketing activities to strengthen BYD’s competitiveness. Collaborate with dealers to prepare and follow up quarterly market plans in line with local marketing budgets.
Act as BYD’s primary representative towards all dealers in the region. Build trustful, long-term relationships with dealer principals and management teams. Be a visible and motivating ambassador for the BYD brand in all interactions.
Cooperate closely with the Sales, Marketing, After-Sales, and Finance teams to ensure consistent execution of BYD’s commercial strategy. Provide structured feedback and market intelligence to the Head of Sales and other departments at HQ.
Manage and allocate budget and incentives within the assigned region to maximize KPI achievement. Make independent commercial decisions within defined guidelines and act with high accountability.
• Minimum three years of experience in a sales management or leadership position within the automotive industry.
• Strong business acumen and proven negotiation skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach and motivate dealer teams.
• Strategic mindset combined with operational drive and solution orientation.
• Solid understanding of retail finance and dealer profitability – financial knowledge is considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; acts as a credible brand ambassador.
• High level of responsiveness and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Analytical and data-driven; confident in using sales and reporting systems.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Norway.
