For the SpaceLab at our headquarters in Sachseln (Lucerne area), we are looking for a
Project Manager
Your area of responsibility
- You are responsible for the review and implementation of customer requirements, the coordination of internal and external technical reviews, the milestones, cost-effective development, and documentation packages of mechanism actuators including motors, gearboxes and associated components for space customers
- You act as a key contact between the R&D, quality, production, process engineering and purchasing departments whilst simultaneously representing the customers internally
- You are responsible for actively coordinating the communication between all parties involved in the projects
- This position will involve working on manned and unmanned spacecraft projects both for science missions and commercial space applications
This job is exactly right for you if...
- you have gained at least 5 years of experience with projects (preferentially in the aerospace industry) after finishing your university degree (preferably in mechanical, electrical, or materials & process engineering) or a technical higher education (HF or equivalent) after a completed vocational apprenticeship
- you are a team player with good communication skills, you are a solution oriented person who can skillfully plan projects and bring them to a successful conclusion
- you have an excellent command of spoken as well as written English and ideally have a good working knowledge of German
- knowledge of aerospace-standard manufacturing processes would be an advantage
- ideally, you have experience with precision products and manufacturing processes in particular those needed for ultra-high reliability applications
- prior experience of electrical actuators or mechanisms would be an advantage
- you are willing to occasionally travel worldwide
