At Villa Sant’Andrea, a Belmond Hotel, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef de Rang for the 2026 Season. You will be a key player in delivering an exceptional dining experience, providing attentive service, anticipating guest needs, and ensuring every meal in our renowned restaurant is a memorable occasion for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome guests and guide them to their tables, ensuring their comfort.
- Prepare and set up the dining area to the highest standards before service.
- Present menus, accurately take food and beverage orders, and offer expert recommendations.
- Serve food and beverages with precision and professionalism, adhering to established service protocols and LQA standards.
- Anticipate and attend to guest needs throughout their dining experience, ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and impeccable presentation of the restaurant and service areas.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other service team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of all menu items, ingredients, and the wine list.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any minor issues or requests promptly and courteously.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Rang or in a similar fine dining service role, preferably within a luxury hotel setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of refined table service techniques and dining etiquette.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and engaging demeanor.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive, guest-oriented approach to service.
- Ability to work efficiently and remain composed in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm attitude under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Fluency in Italian (both written and spoken) is essential, and an intermediate knowledge of English is highly preferred (other languages are a plus).
