In this role, you will lead technical sales activities for new and existing opportunities within enterprise accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and partners. You will leverage deep hands-on expertise in networking and security to design monitoring architectures, deliver compelling technical demonstrations, and guide customers through successful evaluations. Working closely with Sales, Channel, and Corporate teams, you will shape technical strategy in the region and help drive adoption of Gigamon solutions. Provide technical sales support across the full Gigamon product and solutions portfolio.
Perform a specialized, senior systems engineering role focused on pre-sales activities as an individual contributor.
Deliver in-depth technical presentations and demonstrations to customers, partners, and at industry events.
Design network monitoring and visibility architectures for top enterprise customers.
Lead and manage all customer proof of concepts and product evaluations, from initial design and deployment through successful completion.
Provide mentorship and guidance on technology and competitive trends to clients, partners, and internal teams.
Build and manage key end-user technical relationships, becoming a trusted technical advisor.
Act as the primary communication conduit between the field and corporate teams on technical issues and product feedback.
Provide complex pre-sales technical support, including solution design, sizing, and integration guidance.
Support account and partner management and development activities in collaboration with Sales and Channel teams.
What you’ve done:
Earned a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering) or have equivalent work experience.
Developed 3–7 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer in networking, security, or cloud environments.
Gained hands-on experience with networking platforms, virtualization, cloud, and containerization technologies.
Worked with network and security tools such as firewalls, IPS, WAF, NDR, NPM, APM, and SIEM (experience with these is highly desirable).
Operated effectively in customer-facing roles, owning technical workstreams in complex sales cycles.
Collaborated with channel partners and distributors to support joint sales and technical initiatives.
Obtained industry certifications such as CISSP, Cisco CCIE, Cisco CCNP, PMP, CISM, AWS, Azure, or similar (preferred differentiators).
