As an Application Lab Technician (m/f/d) at our Freyung location, you will be responsible for conducting reliable quality analyses to qualify and specify new products and molds by preparing measurement and performance reports during the development of new closures.

 

You will identify potential risks or opportunities for improvement during the development of new products and processes. Through effective communication and collaboration with other departments and customers, you will ensure our commitment to quality.

 

In short: You play a key role in ensuring that our products deliver on their promises—from concept to market launch.

 

As an Application Lab Technician, You Will

• • Perform measurements which are necessary for qualification of a new product/asset or refurbishment of an existing one
  • Define and perform functional tests to evaluate performance of closures according to approved test procedures
  • Generate proper documentation and reports on the performed tests and measurements
  • Deliver presentation and drive discussion of results within the project team
  • Review of quality criteria for products
  • Perform failure analysis and statistical analysis
  • Plan and develop test procedures and equipment
  • Share quality information with project manager and supervisor
  • Ensure calibration of measurement and test equipment
  • Optimize structure and procedures in the lab using lean methods to continuously improve performance

 

Who We Are Looking For

As the ideal candidate, you have several years of experience in product development or quality assurance, ideally with a proven track record of contributing to product launches. In addition, you stay up to date on the latest measurement and testing equipment and are committed to high quality.

 

Education

• • Training as a technician specializing in quality management, a quality technician, or a comparable qualification

 

Experience

• • Experience with measurement, qualification & test methods

 

Required Skills / Competencies

• • Experience in quality assurance, preferably in the injection molding or metalworking industry
  • Strong commitment to quality, dedication, and the ability to work well in a team
  • Knowledge of Q-methods and -tools
  • Knowledge of relevant norms, laws and customer requirements
  • IT skills (MS office, SAP, QM3, ... )
  • Structured and self-organized way of working-
  • Resilience and ability to work in a team and multinational environment
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills

 

Recommended Competencies

• • Completed training in quality assurance (e.g., QA certification) is preferred, or a willingness to pursue further training
  • Preferred: Basic knowledge of injection molding, automation, measurement methods, and manufacturing processes for consumer goods packaging
