Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Work with operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Present periodic divisional financial reports (including the finances and profitability of the division and assets) to Executive Management.
- Manage general ledger and entries for the facility.
- Coordinate and work closely with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for division.
- Participate in development of budget; maintain and analyze budget, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Possess acute knowledge of divisional business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses.
- Represent Company during audits and before taxing authorities.
- Inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value, and location of property.
- Assist with computation of taxes owed, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
- Provide support to AGI Legal Counsel as required.
- Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Field of Study: Accounting or Business Administration.
- CPA Designation
- 3-5 years' progressive experience in accounting preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Cost account background in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically, approximately 10% of the time.
- Regular and punctual attendance is required.
- Advanced Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with SAP and CoPilot would be an asset

Working Conditions
Physical Environment:
- Work performed in an office setting; however occasional time may be required in the production facility.
- Exposure to loud noise levels from machinery, dust, fumes, chemicals, temperature changes. (if in the production facility)
- Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, overhead cranes, forklift activity, fumes, and/or airborne particles (requiring the wearing of respiratory equipment).
- Sitting for long periods of time.
Work Schedule:
- May require shift work (day, night, weekend, or rotating shifts).
- Overtime may be required during peak periods. (EOM, EOQ, EOY)
Workplace Hazards:
- Operating equipment; including telephone, computer, calculator, copier.
- Risk of repetitive motion injuries or musculoskeletal strain.
Team & Work Environment:
- Fast-paced production setting with set quotas or deadlines.
- Work may be performed independently or as part of a team.
Effort Requirements
Physical Effort:
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials (up to 50 lbs.).
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
- Standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Performing repetitive tasks with hands and arms.
- Tasks require good hand/finger dexterity and may require reaching outward and above shoulders.
- Employees may be required to handle sharp or abrasive material.
Mental & Cognitive Effort:
- Attention to detail for quality control and safety compliance.
- Following complex instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Problem-solving, ability to audit, evaluate and report all concerns and recommendations.
Pace & Productivity Expectations:
- Meeting finance and production quotas and deadlines.
- Working under pressure in a high-speed manufacturing environment
