Our pool and leisure facilities are more popular than ever, and as Lead Lifeguard, for our Takapuna Pool and Leisure Centre you will play a key part in ensuring that all customers not only have a fantastic experience but a safe one.
Your main responsibilities will include the following:
We are looking to fill a Permanent full-time position. As our centre opens 7 days a week, the ability to work early and late shifts, as well as weekends, is crucial in this role. Availability for extended hours during school holidays and summer is essential for success in this role.

While customer support experience is beneficial for this role, it is not required. We welcome everyone who are eager to learn and contribute to our customer service team. Please note that you should be available for a 2-week training at West Wave.

You will have a passion for aquatics and a desire to share your knowledge and experience with both customers and colleagues to enhance water safety. As an excellent communicator, you will be dedicated to delivering outstanding aquatic programmes and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Joining an energetic and passionate team, you’ll be a keen team player with a flexible approach and the ability to take initiative to help drive a positive safety culture.
We are looking for people who are strong swimmers and dedicated to helping others. To work as a pool lifeguard in New Zealand, you will need to hold a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC).
