Quantity Surveyor (Sizewell C) (2 Year FTC)

Main Responsibilities
Commercial Management and Cost Control.
- Support the commercial management of allocated work packages, providing QS and contractual support to delivery teams.
- Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts and cost reporting to support accurate financial control.
- Manage valuations, applications for payment and commercial assessments.
- Monitor package performance, identify risks and support effective cost control measures.
Procurement and Tendering
- Support subcontract procurement activities, including tendering, evaluation and award recommendations.
- Prepare subcontract documentation and undertake tender analysis.
- Assist with package procurement strategies aligned to project requirements.
Contracts, Claims and Final Accounts
- Administer subcontract obligations including variations, compensation events and change management.
- Support claims preparation where required, maintaining robust commercial records.
- Assist in agreement of final accounts and commercial close-out activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Provide commercial support to delivery teams on scope, risks and contractual obligations.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, planners and project controls functions.
Reporting and Forecasting
- Produce monthly commercial reporting including cost/value reconciliation, forecasts and liabilities.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting aligned with project controls requirements.
- Maintain compliance with commercial procedures and governance standards.
Education
- BSc / MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction-related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Professional membership (e.g. RICS or working towards equivalent accreditation)
Experience
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure or construction projects
- Knowledge of subcontract procurement, package management and commercial delivery
- Experience administering standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC / JCT)
- Ability to manage valuations, variations, forecasts and final accounts
- Experience working closely with site delivery and project controls teams
