The Engineering Co-op Student will work on various assignments related to hydrogen project development, which will provide opportunities for engagement with engineers, operations staff, managers, and others in different departments in the organization. The assignments will provide an understanding of projects involving hydrogen as a future part of FortisBC’s Renewable and Lower Carbon Gas portfolio. This position requires a combination of both technical and soft skills, and will provide an opportunity to work with a wide variety of project partners and stakeholders.

This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen to support preliminary design activities and soft skills to support business development activities.
This is a full-time temporary student co-op opportunity with an 8 month term starting in September 2026.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
