

The NXE Lean Team supports the EUV Factory in Veldhoven by enabling continuous improvement across manufacturing departments.
This internship helps the team capture, standardize, and scale improvement practices. You will contribute to clearer ways of working and better daily performance management across the factory. Through this internship you help teams learn faster and work more consistently. If you enjoy collaboration and making practical improvements, this internship may be a strong fit.
During this internship you work closely with improvement specialists and manufacturing teams. You learn how daily performance management supports production goals and team engagement. Your work helps translate practical improvements into clear documentation and reusable standards.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Explore current improvement practices and daily performance management structures across manufacturing teams
Document improvement processes clearly, including context, steps, and key learnings
Analyze how existing boards support teams at different organizational levels
Design standardized daily performance management boards for various departments
Support the development of a practical playbook for wider rollout across the factory
Collaborate with technicians, team leads, and lean specialists on the shop floor
Reflect on outcomes and suggest improvements for future applications
This is a bachelor/master (non thesis) internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 4 days per week (4 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026.
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field
Have basic theoretical knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methods
Communicate clearly and connect easily with people from different backgrounds
Work in a structured and analytical way when documenting processes
Show a collaborative and proactive learning mindset
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
