JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Extension in Lebanon County seeks to hire a Part-Time Extension Support position to serve as a LIFT Program Instructor. Instructors lead morning face to face classes for 2 hours twice a week for eight to nine weeks, a few times a year. This position will report to the Food, Families, and Communities Extension Educator in Lebanon County.
Specific responsibilities include:
Lead participants in a 5-minute exercise warm-up.
Lead participants in 60 minutes of strength training exercises.
Lead a 5-minute cool-down.
Energize and motivate participants throughout the class.
Instruct short nutrition and health-related lessons
Demonstrate proper form and ensure participants are using the correct form, offering corrections if needed.
Conduct pre- and post-physical assessments and administer evaluations.
Assist educators in identifying potential class sites and assist with marketing efforts to promote the program.
Assist with class and participant reporting requirements.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
