Financial Developer with a Focus on Accounting/Payments

Join us as a Financial Developer at the Derivatives and Risk Systems Division within Handelsbanken Capital Markets. We provide trading, compliance, risk and regulatory divisions with advanced and business-oriented solutions while seated on the trading floor - a dynamic environment at the core of the investment bank.

Our Teams

Our unit consists of four teams with separate focus areas; Equity, Fixed Income, Loans and Platform. The teams are responsible for the installation of Handelsbanken’s main trading and risk system Front Arena PRIME, stretching from hardware & servers to risk management, profit/loss, accounting/billing/payments and regulatory reporting.

You will be part of one of our agile teams. The teams work together in close cooperation towards stakeholders across the entire organization, which creates a broad variety of tasks and expertise’s. Together with Trading, Treasury, Quant, Risk Control, Accounting and Compliance, we strive to achieve optimal technical deliveries and time to market.

Your Role

For this role we are looking for a driven and knowledgeable developer who wants to contribute to building modern and high-performing solutions within the financial domain. In this role, you will play an important part in designing, developing, and maintaining systems that support critical financial processes. The role focuses on accounting and payment solutions and deliver efficient and robust solutions integrated with our core risk system - Front Arena Prime. Your work covers the whole development lifecycle from analysis and investigation to design, implementation, test, and documentation. You will be involved in the daily operations and provide hands-on support, which requires high focus and attention to detail.

Your profile
We believe you hold a degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification and have solid experience in software development within the financial domain. You are comfortable working with object-oriented programming, preferably in Python or C#. You also have experience in accounting and payment systems or solutions, giving you a strong understanding of financial processes and flows.

To succeed in this role, you bring deep knowledge of database management and structures, particularly within Microsoft SQL. Additionally, you are familiar with various communication protocols, which enables you to work effectively with distributed systems and integrations.

You have the ability to take on responsibility and work according to processes, documenting, complete your work responsibilities and keep deadlines. You enjoy helping your team members and exchanging knowledge. You are proactive in your own development and keep up-to-date with new technologies and approaches.
