The AGC Biologics GmbH Downstream-Processing department in Heidelberg is searching for a motivated student for a challenging master thesis project. The student will work in the field of microbial fermentation (USP) and chromatographic purification with a focus on downstream process development (DSP). This current master thesis topic is confidential and therefore named neutral:

“Development of an industrial capable manufacturing process for a process protein”

Aims of the Master Thesis:

• Best clone screening

• Improving a fermentation strategy in E. coli

• Development and optimizing of a purification process

• Monitoring safety related impurities

• Determining the activity of the process protein

Your profile:

AGC is searching for a master student with background in biotechnology or related fields, who is eager to contribute to innovative solutions in the industry. The master thesis is designed to last 6 months.

Starting date:

The master thesis project can start in August / September 2026.
