Introduction to and practice of evidence-based motivational and behavioural change counselling skills targeting physical activity adoption and maintenance. Theoretical perspectives: behavioural counselling approaches; self-determination theory, and social cognitive theory. Practical aspects: motivational interviewing, behaviour change techniques, cultural competencies and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Exigeances / Requirements:

 

• Maîtrise (ou équivalent) en Sciences de l’activité physique (psychologie du sport) ou domaine connexe. La préférence sera accordée aux candidats détenant un doctorat en kinésiologie humaine (psychologie du sport) ou dans un domaine relié au cours. / Master's (or equivalent) in Human Kinetics (Sport Psychology) or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in Human Kinetics (Sport Psychology) or in a field related to the course.

• Expérience en enseignement universitaire est un atout / Experience teaching in a university setting is an asset.
