The Ecommerce Specialist is an individual contributor responsible for updating, improving and maintaining our Shopify Retail website (robinsonco.ca). Reporting to the Director, Ecommerce, this role will focus on executing the Ecommerce roadmap to drive online sales and meet sales targets. The role is designed for a highly "hands-on" professional who can balance high-level planning with the daily execution required to optimize the customer journey and maintain site integrity.
What you will do: • Manage and optimize the Shopify storefront end-to-end, including homepage, product pages, landing pages and collections pages for both organic and paid traffic to continuously improve the customer journey. • Oversee back-end administration of the site to keep the site up to date and maintained. • Coordinate with the Marketing team to plan and execute on the promotional calendar, ensuring promotions go live accurately and on time. • Stay informed of Vendor sales and launches and support in building landing pages that are optimized for conversion. • Collaborate with cross functional teams across the business including Marketing, Product, Showrooms, IT, Data Analytics, etc. to ensure the Ecommerce team has all the information needed to execute and drive sales. • Analyze site performance, customer behavior and Ecommerce trends to identify opportunities for website improvements. • Work closely with the Data Analytics team to build dashboards for Ecommerce that drive actionable insights. • Own basic Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and SEO/GEO initiatives, with support of Agency, including on-page optimization, site speed, and content improvements. • Work with closely with the Ecommerce Merchandiser and key stakeholders to ensure the right products are featured on custom landing pages and effectively presented online. • Coordinate with freelancers or external developers as needed, and handle QA/testing for site updates. • Maintain a website changelog and documentation of key updates. • Work closely with the Customer Service Team and act on customer feedback quickly by identifying friction points and implementing fixes. • Document and update key Ecommerce SOPs.
About You: • 3–5 years of hands-on ecommerce experience with Shopify in a fast-paced or startup environment. • Comfortable being both strategic and highly executional. • Solid understanding of CRO, SEO, and Ecommerce best practices. • Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Domo) and ability to turn data into insights and action. • Familiarity with Ecommerce and marketing tools such as Klaviyo, Google Ads, and Meta Business Manager. • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight. • Strong problem-solving mindset with a bias toward action and experimentation. • Basic knowledge of Liquid code & CSS is an asset.

In BC, employees in this position can expect to earn $57,000- $75,000 per year, with opportunities to earn more as you grow and develop with us.
