The Transformation Division plays a pivotal role in enabling the University of Wollongong to deliver on its Strategic Plan 2030 and broader sustainability objectives. As the University undertakes a significant program of transformation, the Division provides coordinated program support, change management expertise, process improvement capability, and benefits realisation frameworks.
Working across faculties and divisions, the Division promotes consistent approaches, strengthens organisational readiness, and ensures changes are embedded effectively. About the Role
As a Senior Process Improvement Specialist, you will lead the analysis and redesign of complex, cross functional business processes that shape how the University operates. You will work closely with leaders and teams across faculties and divisions to understand current challenges, diagnose root causes and co design future state processes that are practical, scalable and aligned with strategic goals. Your work will help reduce complexity, improve efficiency and support sustainable, future focused ways of working.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will facilitate workshops, develop clear process documentation, apply structured improvement frameworks and collaborate with colleagues across transformation and change functions to redesign processes and ensure improvements are successfully adopted. You will contribute to planning, governance and reporting, while also helping uplift organisational capability in process design and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed, you will bring strong experience in business process improvement within complex environments, along with excellent analytical, communication and facilitation skills. You will be confident working with ambiguity, engaging diverse stakeholders and translating insights into clear, actionable solutions. Experience with digital tools for process documentation and relevant tertiary qualifications will further support your success.
