JOB TITLE: QA Engineer
FLEXIBLES is one of only three suppliers in the world market, mastering the advanced pipe technology that brings valuable oil and gas from the ocean floor safely to the surface. As QA Engineer, FLEXIBLES, you will constantly work to improve the quality management system. The work will be based on monitoring the general quality requirements related to quality management- and relevant product standards. The principal focus will be to ensure continual improvement of performance throughout the organization with respect to Quality of our work. Through measurement, correction and improvement of working practices we will increase our competitive advantage. The main focus for the QA engineer is to ensure that tasks are prioritized in a way, which makes it possible to conduct ad-hoc investigations and audits, should it be needed. This might require close coordination and prioritization, where the Quality Manager may be involved as required. The QA engineer is authorized to seek the information required to improve performance of our work. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor quality challenges primarily related to production in Kalundborg Follow up on own IQ´s Follow up on progress of IQs where dedicated as supervisor Investigate major quality related deviations - under close coordination with Quality Manager Prepare, carry out and report supplier audits / supplier QC visits Prepare, carry out and report internal audits Supplier monitoring and management in relation to trends on their performance and evaluation regarding approved/non approved list of suppliers Maintenance and updates of procedures, guidelines and improvements within the QA area Training and education - Quality introduction to new employees SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Strategic Has solutions and suggestions that are effective in addressing the problem at hand (Problem Solving) Adept at exercising good judgement (sometimes with incomplete information) whilst being constrained by tight deadlines (Decision quality) Capable of keeping abreast of an evolving portfolio of products, services and systems (Technical learning) Able to understand, evaluate and apply technical information and functional skills (Functional & technical) Operating Can Orchestrate multiple activities and resources to accomplish a goal (Organising) Be quick to identify critical information and respond appropriately (Priority setting) Be willing to provide colleagues with the information they need to complete their tasks and eliminate roadblocks (Informing) Energy and Drive Will be energized by challenges and drawn towards opportunities (Action orientated) 26-01-2021 Form A-16 QA Engineer Personal and Interpersonal A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems (Peer relationships) Imbued with a strong sense of customer focus (internal/external) (Customer focus) Quality Qualifications Essential: Lead Auditor Qualification Desirable: Experience Essential: At least 3 years of working knowledge in similar position Desirable: Working knowledge of fabrication, assembly and testing services in the oil and gas industry Skills, training or special knowledge Essential: Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office -Excel, Word, Outlook) Speaks and writes English to medium level Desirable: Knowledge of global industry standards (DNV, Lloyds Register etc.) Working knowledge of ERP systems Quality Assurance Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions. Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area. Training Participate in training where required.
