R&D Engineers research, architect, design, develop, and test software of our products, services, systems and tools. They define, create, integrate, verify and modify SW/system components and utilize innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and specifications. They apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
The team you will be part of is an inter-cultural team with a mix of PON (passive optical network), system, embedded software and python experts.

Nokia fiber broadband solutions already delivered three generations of PON technology. From Gigabit GPON, network capacity was boosted by a factor of 10 with 25G PON (world premiere with Proximus), paving the way to 50G thanks to our in-house developed ASIC.

Design and execute test strategies and plans for new features.
Develop and automate test cases for embedded software and equipment applications.
Build and maintain test setups; reproduce and analyze issues on hardware and simulation environments.
Collaborate with software, hardware, and ASIC/FPGA teams to ensure product quality.
Contribute to bug fixing and feature implementation when needed.
Continuously improve test scope, infrastructure, and processes.
