COMMERCIAL CONTROLLER BU COFEE & FOOD PREPARATIONThe Sales Controller supports Sales Management in driving profitable growth across global markets. Acting as a key business partner, the role provides financial insight, performance analysis, and strategic guidance to the Business Unit (BU) leadership and Commercial teams.
The position is responsible for all commercial controlling and reporting activities for the BU Coffee and Food Preparation, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and local regulations.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Business Performance & Closing
- Lead monthly closing of commercial operations, including variance analysis, performance reporting, and management communication.
- Monitor profitability and drive continuous improvement in business performance.
- Commercial Controlling & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Group standards and policies across pricing, customer programs (rebates, contracts, transfer pricing), and commercial cost structures (SG&A, logistics, warranty).
- Oversee discount structures and price realization to protect margins.
- KPI Management & Performance Steering
- Define, track, and challenge key commercial KPIs (price, volume, mix, margin).
- Drive performance accountability in collaboration with Sales teams.
- Sales & Margin Analysis
- Analyze sales and margin performance across products, markets, channels, brands, agents and customers.
- Recommend and support actions to improve profitability and growth.
- Planning, Forecasting & Risk Management
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes (Revenue, Opex, Capex) in coordination with local and central teams.
- Identify risks and opportunities; develop scenario analyses to support decision-making.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and performance evolution.
- Working Capital & Efficiency
- Analyze and optimize working capital (e.g. commercial inventory, commercial flows, obsolescence).
- Drive cost control and efficiency initiatives across commercial operations.
- Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted partner to Sales and Marketing, providing financial insights and challenging assumptions on pricing, promotions, and customer strategies.
- Systems & Process Optimization
- Lead and support improvements in Commercial ERP and BI systems (e.g. Qlik, Power BI, Salesforce).
- Promote automation, data quality, and process efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Finance peers, Operations, R&D, and other Group entities.
- Support audits and ensure proper financial allocations across the organization.
- Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to long-term business planning and strategic initiatives.
- Support the definition and achievement of business objectives.
Reporting Line
- Reports operationally to the BU Food Prep & Coffee Controlling Manager
WHAT’S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling (commercial/FP&A preferred)
- Experience in an international environment is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (local & international)
- Strong business acumen and analytical mindset
- High degree of autonomy, structured approach, and problem‑solving mindset
- Proven ability to influence and partner with commercial teams
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; strong presentation capabilities
- Experience with ERP and BI tools (SAP, JDE, Qlik, Power BI, Salesforce)
- Knowledge on programming SQL or similar tools is a plus
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, international environment
- Fluent in English; French is a plus
- Willingness to travel
